The full-width tail light of the Nomadix Pro roof box is designed to alert drivers behind you to the position of your vehicle. It does not require wiring from inside the car and is powered by the roof box's Trispark, a built-in large-capacity solar power bank (which can be removed for use as a camping light or power bank). It automatically stays on when the vehicle is moving and turns off 3 minutes after parking.

The tail light at the rear of the roof box is not a brake light, it is a full-width tail light.

Each fingerprint lock is powered by 3 AA batteries, ensuring the lock functions properly in both high and low-temperature conditions.

You can use the included mechanical key to unlock it.

The fingerprint lock is powered by AA batteries. A low battery indicator will light up when the battery is running low, so be sure to replace the battery promptly. If the fingerprint lock is completely out of battery and cannot be unlocked, you can use a power bank or the USB-C emergency power input from the vehicle to supply power to the lock. (*The USB-C emergency power input only supports standard DC 5V/2A, not fast charging protocols.) You can also use the included emergency mechanical key to unlock it.

The Nomadix Pro roof box, from the materials to the key functional modules, has passed both high and low-temperature testing. Unlike conventional roof boxes, which are prone to frozen lock holes in winter, the Nomadix Pro can still be unlocked and opened using the fingerprint lock.

The Trispark uses a lithium iron phosphate battery, with a discharge temperature range of -20°C to 60°C, ensuring the full-width tail light works in these temperatures. Additionally, the fingerprint lock is powered by dry batteries, which allow it to function even in lower temperatures.

Trispark has a built-in 20,000mAh lithium iron phosphate battery, capable of charging an iPhone 16 up to 3.5 times and supporting 22.5W fast charging. When used as a camping light, it provides up to 240 hours of runtime.

Trispark can be charged via the solar panel on the top of the roof box, keeping it ready for all-day use. It can also be charged via the USB-C charging port.

The Nomadix Pro roof box has soft rubber waterproof seals where the top and bottom lids meet, effectively preventing water ingress during rainy weather and car washes. (*Water may enter through gaps at the bottom and quick clamps——ClickHoldTMsystems during car washes, so avoid spraying water directly at these gaps.)

The Nomadix Pro roof box is designed to handle speeds up to 130 km/h. However, vehicle speed should be adjusted based on road type, road quality, wind conditions, traffic intensity, and local regulations.

You can measure the crossbar's dimensions to determine compatibility with the Nomadix Pro roof box:
Oval/wing shape: width 58-85mm; height 15-40mm
Square: width 55-85mm; height 15-36mm
Round: diameter 35-38mm

The Nomadix Pro roof box is compatible with most SUVs, station wagons, hatchbacks, MPVs, and sedans. There are 4 criteria to determine compatibility:
1. Check vehicle model and length: SUV, station wagon, hatchback, MPV length ≥ 161.4″ (4.1m); sedan length ≥ 165.4″ (4.2m).
2. The roof box mounts on roof crossbars, and the distance between your crossbars must be 15.7-41.3″ (40cm-105cm).
3. Crossbar dimensions:
Oval/Wing: width 2.28″-3.35″ (58-85mm); height 0.59″-1.57″ (15-40mm)
Square: width 2.17″-3.35″ (55-85mm); height 0.59″-1.42″ (15-36mm)
Round: diameter 1.38″-1.50″ (35-38mm).
4. To avoid blocking the trunk lid, the distance from the front crossbar to the roof-trunk intersection should be > 46.5″ (118cm).

First, estimate which size roof box will best match your vehicle. Typically, larger vehicles are paired with larger roof boxes.
1.1 If your vehicle is an SUV, station wagon, hatchback, MPV, or similar, follow these recommendations:
1.1.1 For vehicles between 4.1m (161.4in) and 4.4m (173.2in) in length, we recommend the L size, though XL also fits.
1.1.2 For vehicles between 4.4m (173.2in) and 4.8m (189.0in) in length, we recommend the XL size, though L also fits.
1.1.3 For vehicles longer than 4.8m (>189.0in), we recommend the XXL size, though XL also fits.
1.2 If your vehicle is a sedan, follow these recommendations:
1.2.1 For vehicles between 4.2m (165.4in) and 4.7m (185.0in) in length, we recommend the L size, though XL also fits.
1.2.2 For vehicles longer than 4.7m (>185.0in), we recommend the XL size, though L also fits.

3.2 Measure the center-to-center distance between your crossbars:
For the L model: 15.7"–35.4" (40cm–90cm)
For the XL model: 17.7"–39.4" (45cm–100cm)
For the XXL model: 17.7"–41.3" (45cm–105cm)
*Please ensure that your crossbars are adjustable to fit within these dimensions.

3.3 Finally, measure the distance from the front crossbar to the point where the roof meets the rear hatch: this distance must be larger than the value listed below for the roof box not to interfere with the rear hatch door. (*Make sure your crossbar distance is adjustable to fit within these ranges.)

The Nomadix Pro roof box is designed for easy disassembly. You can remove the felt pad, rinse it with water, and allow it to dry before reattaching it.

The motion-sensing light is powered by three AA batteries, ensuring that the fingerprint lock functions properly in both high and low-temperature environments.
